 Rev. Susie Atkinson

Susie Atkinson is a self-described “people-person, child of God who as a cradle Presbyterian remained active in the church her entire life.”  Born and raised in Virginia, she spent her adult life moving around the Eastern US with her husband, Bill, and their two children, son Tracy and daughter Angie.  After serving as a Sunday School teacher for all different ages,  President and Treasurer for the Presbyterian Women, and as an Elder, Susie was hired to work for Presbyterian Campus Ministries at Mississippi State University.  The call to ministry had been weighing on her heart for many years; but she had pushed it back until her students at MSU convinced her to finish her undergraduate work and head to seminary.  Upon graduation from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now known as Union Presbyterian Seminary), Susie received a call from a small, rural church south of Lynchburg, VA, where she served for almost nine years.  She enjoys singing, swimming, playing golf, riding bicycles, and reading; although lately, her favorite pastime is playing with her new grandson, Preston who was born to Tracy and Julie Atkinson February 13, 2012.  She loves the water and loves living in the Havre de Grace area with her husband and two cats, Stormy and Sunny, and serving God in the Presbyterian Church of Havre de Grace and Deer Creek Harmony Presbyterian Church.

 Joyce Copenhaver

Joyce has been the church administrative assistant since 2001. She is in the office Monday through Friday, usually from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. She is very helpful and gets important information coordinated with the pastor, committee chairs and leaders.

Jane Martin is a middle school teacher for the Harford County Public Schools where she teaches both choir and general music classes. Jane is the organist and choir director of the very talented choir at the Presbyterian Church of Havre de Grace and is always looking to add new choir members to the fold! She and husband Paul live in Havre de Grace with their daughter Elizabeth. Katie, their eldest daughter, lives in West Virginia with her husband Gary and their daughter Hailee. Another grandchild is expected in September.
